Many Firsts
Been working for about a month now. More than that actually, time just flew by. Abt 6 weeks i think. Been settling myself nicely and i kinda like this place. Dont rmbr feeling this way abt my prev company :p
But this is a bit of an alright. Boss loves me, the work is ok (except when the damn reporting analyst is on leave and i hv to do her reporting).. A few drawbacks tho:
1. Its freaking hot cos my desk is near the window :p
2. Parking is FREAKING expensive
3. Jammed to and from work each day
4. Some of the agents behave like kids (but i'll elaborate on this on another blog)
Thing is, working here, I've experienced MANY firsts.
My first interview - when i first came in, almost like the first day i came to collect my offer letter, my boss asked me to sit in for an interview when he was hiring an agent. and after that i sat in with him for a couple of interviews. and at one point, he asked me to conduct an interview by myself cos he had a meeting. and the girl was actually hired on my recommendations!
My first firing - well not exactly firing, but asking someone to leave. apparently she cursed the customer's entire family for generations and the customer made a huge complaint and insisted to take the matter to the press etc, so mua asked her to leave.
My first "only female in an all male" meeting - which was way cool. i was the only female in a meeting with all the other team leaders / trainer / manager being testosterone laden guys.
My first "threat" - altho Tres doesnt call it a threat. Basically some idiot got pissed cos he was supposed to be doing something else urgently but he was on his mobile instead. so i pointed it out and he said ok. a minute later i went over to his place, and when he saw me, he threw his pen at the pc's monitor. i was a bit shaken but assholes are best left to themselves. or fired.. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE..
Anyways, i probably get called bitch a lot behind my back but hey, no one great ever achieved anything by being ordinary and not making any enemies in the process!
