I'm going home..
So i went to the dentist the other day in seremban. and i went on a sunday cos my appointment card (which is abt a year old) states that he's open on sundays. oh btw, my other dentist, he was booked til July. i mean, thats 4 effin months in advance.. is he THAT good? i dont know.
so anyways, i went to this other dentist on sunday not knowing he had changed his schedule and was now closed on sundays. so i waited in my car for a while, then i decided to get down and go closer to see if he had pasted up a new schedule. so i was just peering into the grill and suddenly i hear this shout from the opposite side of the road (if you're not familiar with seremban, imagine jalan masjid jamek but without the crowd). and i turn around and there's this old chinese guy who's gesturing wildly with his hands and saying something like "tadak"..
so i just smile at him to show i understand what he's saying and nod my thanks. and he actually waits for me to get down the steps and cross the road to my car, and continues explaining "dia bukak hari satu sampai enam saja, hari tujuh tutup" and i smile and say ok and nod and all la.
but what strikes me most is the fact that this guy cares enough about a stranger to take the effort to come out of his coffee shop, holler across the road, wait for me to cross before explaining that the dentist was closed. i mean, do u think you would get this in KL? i seriously doubt it. people here just dont care anymore, its more like "you can read the signboards cant you, so why should i interfere?"
but this really kinda touched me, the fact that this town is still slightly untouched by time and people are still willing to help you. and i'm glad i've quit and am going home for a break :-)
